At the end of June, the US had a record number of job openings, a total surpassing the number of unemployed people looking for work.
And it seems the segregation of the vaccinated against the unvaccinated grows. Employers are now adding a specific requirement on applications seeking employment. According to the Indeed resume website, applicants who have been vaccinated have almost doubled in the past month, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Indeed economist AnnElizabeth Konkel said, Overall, the total is low, but “it’s a trend that’s really taking off.” The ads aren’t specifically clear. They are catering to the coronavirus vaccine, but the intent is there. Job postings that require the vaccine have gone from 50, as early as February, to over 1,200 after the first week in August 2021.
Konkel said that job fields that haven’t required vaccinations for other diseases in the past are definitely requiring it for COVID-19. We’ve seen major companies such as Facebook, Google, and Microsoft announcing vaccine requirements for employees.
The circumstances in which the vaccine was introduced as emergency use, not an FDA-approved vaccine. Therefore it should not be mandated. Also, we aren’t even close to seeing the impact of side effects and death. The government is forcing corporations to implement a vaccine program for employees, making the corporations the bad guy. When the government allows the people to have recourse against the vaccine manufacturers, we will see a different opinion in promoting or getting the vaccine.
The federal government has been pushing the vaccine from the highest offices. The Pentagon is forcing enlisted personnel to receive the COVID-19 vaccination jab. The Department of Justice is backing companies, schools, and organizations, making it a requirement. Even the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued guidance to back employers requiring the vaccine, and let’s not forget that incentives also are legal.
I understand some companies can require it; my problem is they should be able to require what I wear and look like on the outside and my behavior, but how can they mandate what is put on the inside. Besides, if you are vaccinated, why worry about what I can give you? You are vaccinated against it. Very strange.
Why are people who got the vaccine afraid to be around unmasked people who didn’t get the vaccine? Either the vaccine works, or it doesn’t. This Coronavirus has had one sure symptom among half our population. It’s driven them completely insane.
Most vaccines boost your antibodies so that your body is better equipped to fight off disease. The Red Cross is no longer accepting plasma from vaccinated donors for the convalescent plasma program because they have seen that the vaccine eliminates the C19 antibodies. That’s not how it is supposed to work.
Whether or not you agree or disagree with the vaccine, I feel we all should tread lightly on the issue of forcing people to take it. Should one day, when people are ordered to comply with an issue such as this, it will be a slippery slope in the future, as who honestly knows where an idea like that could lead. What will be forced next, and when?
We’re still talking about an experimental drug! While the manufacturer cannot be held liable, an employer who demands vaccination as a criteria for employment opens itself up to being sued. The bigger issue: What happened to CHOICE in this country? If you’re vaccinated, you can’t get COVID, and you can’t give it or that is what CNN and MSNBC have been saying. So what is the public health reason for proving vaccination? None. It’s a control issue! Be careful about giving up personal freedoms. Once that box is opened, it will NEVER be closed again.
In my humble opinion, I feel having a choice of options is likely a more reasonable path.
