This type of friendship in Thunder Bay, Canada, should be spreading all around the world. Imagine you having a disabled friend and deciding to change your way of life so that they can experience everyday obstacles a little easier.
That’s just what this one man did by installing an elevator in his house for his disabled friend—the entire project cost around $30,000.
“Jamie Mendek and I have been friends since Grade 1,” Franco Daniele said. “This is a 2 year-long secret that we high school buds kept while amidst a house build and pandemic. This is the first time we were able to get together to film this reveal video. Now Jamie has another place to hang out in a city that is not very handicap accessible.”
