Though many believed they would wait a little longer, it was only a matter of time before President Joe Biden and his Democrat-controlled Congress turned their focus to “gun control.”
It makes sense that they would start now, as many pundits and experts believe that Republicans have a strong chance of taking back the House next year, which would effectively kill the progressive, anti-gun caucus from passing ridiculous legislation that typically only hurts law-abiding gun owners.
According to The Hill, members of the Biden administration met recently with a number of gun violence prevention groups to discuss the best ways to move forward with a dream list of anti-gun legislation, which is something that Democrats haven’t been able to pull off with Republicans being a majority in at least one chamber of Congress.
Susan Rice, the head of the Domestic Policy Council, and Cedric Richmond, a senior adviser to the president, both met with huge anti-gun lobbys like Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action, among others.
Here’s the scary part — reports suggest that Biden’s people will be pursuing multiple avenues to push new laws and rules that would revamp the background check system, ban high-capacity magazines, ban “assault” rifles, and a slew of other measures that, again, typically only suppress Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans.
What these groups and politicians can’t seem to grasp — or if we’re being honest, won’t admit to — is that there is a problem with gun violence in America, but it’s heavily centered around gangbangers and other shady characters who don’t give a rip about background checks (they buy guns on the black market) and they typically do not use “assault” rifles.
All one has to look at is data from cities like Chicago to see the true cause of so-called “gun violence.”
Preventing you and I from obtaining firearms or firearms accessories, or taxing them, or making the background checks impossible will not cut down on gun crimes in America. Sure, we usually see a mass shooting or two each year, and that’s tragic, but the body counts from those events pales in comparison to that of everyday street gang violence.
But if you bring that up, then you’re racist.

“This meeting provided more evidence that the Biden Administration is committed to being the strongest we’ve ever seen on gun safety,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. “With Covid making gun violence worse and armed extremists literally holding our democracy at gunpoint, the time for action is now –– and we fully expect to see it soon.”
Haha! Where are these “armed extremists” holding democracy at gunpoint? And Covid? Really? I mean, give me a break. These people are either literally some of the lowest-IQ people in the country or they’re truly unaware of the real issues behind gun violence in America.
It might sound cliche, but there’s never been a more crucial time to contact your representatives and make loud and clear that you won’t stand for having your Second Amendment rights stripped away over the course of the next year, because believe me, that’s exactly what Biden and his people will do.
