One of the true great conservatives of our time, legendary radio host Rush Limbaugh, has passed away from lung cancer at the age of 70.
According to the Washington Examiner, Limbaugh passed away peacefully at his home in Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, by his side.

Limbaugh played an immeasurable role in conservative politics through his platform, which attracted tens of millions of loyal followers and fans spanning multiple decades. His voice and showmanship is unforgettable and unmatched by anyone in the business and was recognized for his excellence on many occasions.
“From his role in the 1994 ‘Gingrich Revolution,’ in which he was made an honorary member of the class of elected House Republicans, to his promotion of the Tea Party and his embrace of Trump, Limbaugh was one of the premier voices of the conservative movement, a figure who shaped political movements and generated tremendous controversy by reaching millions of listeners for hours each day,” the Examiner wrote.
The Rush Limbaugh Show was nothing short of an absolute smashing success, from its inception and when it was first nationally syndicated out of New York City in 1988. The radio legend quickly climbed the charts and became one of the highest-rated programs in the nation, which was especially impressive back then as everyone wanted radio success, given that it was one of the premier mediums to talk politics.
His monthly audience numbers totaled a mind-bending 25 million and as recently as 2018, his show was broadcast regularly on over 650 radio stations. Limbaugh, since 1996, has worked out of his home in Palm Beach.
It was just over a year ago that Limbaugh broke the news to his adoring listeners about his lung cancer prognosis. He would miss some shows here and there because he had to receive treatment. In October, he crushed his listeners’ hearts by announcing that he was at the terminal stage of the disease.
Limbaugh made clear during his last show in 2020 that he was full of gratitude for having the pleasure of so many people listening to his words and thoughts on a daily basis.
“My point in all of this today is gratitude,” he said at the time. “My point in all of this is to say thanks and tell everybody involved how much I love you from the bottom of a sizable and growing and still-beating heart.”
Limbaugh published a total of seven books, all of them wildly successful, and won so many awards in his career that we literally don’t have the space to publish them all here.
The guy was, and will remain, a legend, and nobody will ever come close to filling his shoes.
Rest in peace, good sir. We will all miss you dearly.
