For Fox News workers in New York City to be able to work in person at the company’s headquarters, they must have received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine by December 27, according to the company’s policy.

By December 27, “all workers in New York City who perform in-person work at an office location, including Fox employees,” according to an internal staff memo sent by Fox Corporation and first reported by Washington Post media reporter Jeremy Barr, “must show proof of receiving at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.”

There will no longer be a necessity for Fox News workers in New York City to take a testing session.

The document goes on to accuse New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio of being responsible for the mandated Fox vaccination. The mayor issued a vaccination mandate for the private sector earlier this month, which became effective on December 27.

It was noted in the document that “the timing and effects of this rule are very regrettable, but we must take quick measures in order to be compliant by December 27.” “As of December 27, personnel who have not been vaccinated will not be permitted to work at Fox New York headquarters.”

Outside of New York City, Fox News does not require staff to get the vaccination, but it has instituted a vaccine pass system in which employees who are not vaccinated must adhere to certain extra rules, such as mask wearing, social distance, and frequent testing.
