President Joe Biden isn’t exactly known for his speaking prowess anymore, which is in stark contrast to his speaking skills as recently as four years ago when he was noticeably sharper, wittier, and able to form coherent sentences.
Many have speculated that the White House, Democrats and the liberal mainstream media have taken extraordinary measures to cover for the frail, 78-year-old president as he regularly struggles to talk to the press or speak at events without logging at least one (usually more) gaffe.
According to Fox News, eyebrows were definitely raised this week during a virtual event with Democratic lawmakers.
Speaking with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the House Democratic Caucus, Biden touched on the hot issue of the week: COVID-19 vaccinations and the pandemic in general. He went on to ask Democrats to help “restore faith” in U.S. government, which is probably not going to happen on his watch, but it was a nice thought.
That’s when things got weird, though. After he finished his talking points, in a somewhat confused manner, Biden said he’d take questions, which would have likely been plentiful. But he didn’t seem too sure about what he was supposed to be doing at that moment in time.
“I’d be happy to take questions if that’s what I’m supposed to do, Nance,” Biden told the speaker. “Whatever you want me to do.”

After a few seconds of hesitation, boom — the feed conveniently went blank.
So, there are a couple of problems with this situation. First of all, why is the leader of the free world asking permission and hesitating about taking questions on the topic of the day. Some 80 million people voted for this guy and he’s on camera asking Mama-Nancy if he should take questions.
That’s awkward and weird.
Secondly, this is very clearly further proof that the White House continues to take whatever measures are necessary to prevent this elderly man from speaking off the cuff, in what’s clearly extreme fear that he’ll once again become confused and/or ramble on about things he shouldn’t ramble on about.
This is happening over, and over, and over again, and very few in the mainstream media world are being honest enough to point it out. Yeah, it’s a sore subject — I remember when my grandparents reached an age where confusion and cognitive decline became apparent and believe you me — it was difficult to watch it happen.
I’m not taking cheap shots here — this is a real issue with potentially real and dangerous consequences, in that if the leader of the United States can’t handle a few questions on a virtual feed without the White House freaking out and shutting it down, that’s something that needs to be addressed immediately. We need a confident leader to take the reins and not resort to asking permission if he can speak or not.
Imagine if Donald Trump acted this way while in office? The media would have an absolute field day with it.
